Guy charged a 2nd time after collection of GTA mosque robberies – Toronto


A 58-year-old guy has been arrested for a 2nd time in lower than a month for allegedly stealing cash from mosques within the Mississauga, Ont., space.

Ashraf Awad had prior to now been arrested and charged with stealing about $12,000 from six mosques between June four and 17. Police allege he would both thieve locked donation packing containers or spoil into them and take away the cash.

Peel Area police now allege the Mississauga resident persevered stealing cash from mosques after his unlock.

He used to be arrested Thursday and faces a large number of new fees, together with 3 counts of robbery underneath $five,000, two counts of spoil and input and robbery, mischief over $five,000, robbery of a motor automobile and 5 counts of breach of recognizance.

Police say Awad could also be sought after in different areas within the Toronto space for identical alleged offences.
